All of our rentals are bicycles that we ride ourselves. Our rental bikes are equipped with a rear rack and bungie strap. All tires have been upgraded to Schwalbe Marathons to minimize flat tires. Additionally, we rent helmets, locks and patch kit / inflators.

About the Linus City Bike
High quality, light weight city bikes with a Shimano Nexus 3 speed and hand brakes. They are equipped with a sturdy aluminum rear rack and metal fenders. We rent the Linus Roadster Sport, the Dutchi 3 and the small Dutchi 3 with 26" tires for those around 5' tall.


About the Torker Interurbans Road Bike
Steel frame road bikes with a double FSA crankset up front and an 8 speed cassette in back. Sora/Tiagra  indexed 'brifters' (brakes and shifters integrated in the the brake lever.) They are quality urban road bikes and we have had people rent them to compete in triathlons. We have small, medium and large size frames.

Q: Do you accept reservations?
A: Not at this time. 

Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: We don't. We run an authorization on your credit card for $300. It does not charge your card, it just verifies that you have funds to cover at least $300 in damages. 

Q: What should I bring to rent a bike?
A: Your ID, credit card for authorization and funds to pay for rental. We accept checks, cash and credit cards for the rental fee. If you are a cyclist from another faraway land, we would recommend that you bring your lock, pump, patch kit, lights, helmet, etc.

Q: When do I pay for the rental?
A: At time of pick-up. 

Q: What if I decide to buy a bike?
A: Half of your rental fee can be applied to the purchase of a new Linus or Interurban within 14 days.

Q: How much are the Linus Roadster or Dutchi if I decide to buy one?
A: To buy, $649

Q: How much are the Torker Interurbans?
A: To buy, $575

Q: What if the bikes is stolen or broken?
A: You are responsible for any loss or breakage while the bike is in your care. If you are not in a financial position to be able to cover this unlikely event, then you should not rent a bike from us. We rent Kryptonite locks.

Q: What if I get a flat or need a repair? 
A: All flat tire repairs and adjustments are free during the rental. Also, we rent a patch and inflator kit if you are concerned about getting a flat.

Q: Am I required to wear a helmet?
A: The City of Los Angeles does not require adults to wear a helmet. 

Q: Am I required to have lights?
A: The City of Los Angeles requires cyclists to have a front light for nighttime riding. The City of Practical and Safe Cycling requires that you have a rear light.

Q: Can I use my own pedals?
A: Sure, we will install your pedals for free. 

Q: Will you install different tires, accessories, etc?
A: Sorry, no.

Q: Do you rent for less than a day?
A: No, sorry. The day rate is our minimal rental period. 

Q: Do you rent to the studios for film and still shoots?
A: We do. Please see our entertainment division information.
