I swore to Rossi today that I am going to stop buying old school, looptail BMX bikes. We dig them, but they just don't sell. It is a narrow collector niche as opposed to the much broader market for vintage bicycles for riders. We do better in the latter than the former. The reasons are manifold and settle on the fact that it is not a sensible retail market.

It is back! We sold this Schwinn Le Tour and it was returned. The new buyer was riding when the chain slipped off. This happens. Cables stretch, adjustments are necessary. In this case, the chain slipped, the pedal swung around and clobbered them on the back of the leg. I am sure it hurt - it has happened to me and it always hurts. Whether fault could be assigned or not, the customer was soured on bicycle riding and we gave then a refund. Money back guarantee.
So, we re-tuned, re-checked, re-double checked and re-tested.
Disassembled and rebuilt. New wheels, new gear cables, new brake cables, new brake housing, new gear housing, new grips, new saddle, new tires, new tubes, new rubber block pedals, new brake pads, new chain and I think there is a new rear derailleur. Japanese lugged frame Schwinn.
