Old Time Bike Shop
Coop and Scott pointed us to this great Shorpy shot of an old time bike shop. Pretty inspiring. I assume those are phonographic cylinders on the right side.
How does this translate to 2010? More than looking at a modern Specialized dealer, I look at photos like this to try to figure out what appeals to customers. I fully realize that a Specialized dealer fills a modern role for current needs, but I also recognize that Coco's can't be that. We need to cater to that knickered fellow in the back that wants to ride a sensible bicycle - not monitor his heart rate.
