Kate Spade (Knock-off) Bicycle Saddle
Remember the tag?
I envisioned an exquisitely tailored saddle. Instead, I got something that looks more like a hankie draped over a bike seat. Not that I am discouraged. Sure, it is a bit of a kludge, but I think it was a huge success.
Despite my incredibly crude upholstery skills and the fact that it is a six year old knock-off Kate Spade $3 purse from a garage sale, I think this saddle looks better than 99% of the stuff commercially available from the bike industry. Now, you could view that as a bit of drag, but the wide open opportunity inspires me.
Just to show I take pride in my work, a close-up of the underside.
As always, respect to the Spades.
